Family First Chiropractic Receives 2018 Diaper Champion Award
This spring/summer we hosted our second annual diaper drive, where we join forces with United Way of the Plains to put diapers into the hands of local Wichita families in need. We made it extra interesting for the many local businesses who collected diapers, by creating a special award for the location with the highest diaper count!
Dr. Rachel Viner of Family First Chiropractic in Andover, KS generously dedicated her office's ribbon-cutting ceremony to promote our cause, and single-handedly raised almost 3000 diapers! We were proud to present her with the 2018 Diaper Champion Award and ask her a few questions about why she believes in standing up for diaper need.
Q: Why was it so important for you to be a part of the diaper drive?
Dr. Viner: Any time you can help give back to the community, especially with such a vulnerable population as babies, if you have the ability to make a difference then you should do what you can. I had the resources to raise the diapers and I wanted to be sure they would go to real babies right here in Wichita who were in need of clean diapers.
Q: What motivated you to become the Andover area's go-to chiropractor for families, especially pregnant women and infants?
Dr. Viner: When I was pregnant with my daughter, I had a difficult pregnancy and seeing a prenatal chiropractor was one of the things that helped give me the relief to carry on. Then, when my daughter was born, and had difficulty sleeping, among other issues, a pediatric chiropractor made a huge difference in her life as well. This made such an impact on me that I knew it was what I wanted to do with my life!
Q: What should the Andover/Wichita community know about your practice?
Dr. Viner: I have been in business as a chiropractor for over three years. About a year and a half ago, I settled my practice in Andover, KS and changed my name to Family First Chiropractic. I felt that the new name truly embodied my practice and who I am as a doctor of chiropractic. I believe in supporting families, and women and children are my passion. That's why when I held the ribbon cutting celebration, I knew I wanted it to be about not just my business, but also about partnering with your business and combining resources and raising diapers to help our community's babies.
